The Spring Auction of Soviet Paintings in Moscow

The late March and early April will be especially eventful this year. The Central House of Artists will host a unique exhibition of works by a renowned Russian artist Nikita Fedosov through March 28–April 4. A pre-sale display of works by Soviet artists, organized by the Russian Art Gallery will take place in the House a bit later, from April 4 to April 10.

The Spring auction of collectible Soviet Paintings will be held on April 15. Following the tradition, the sales will be conducted in the «Sovetsky» hotel.


Triumph of Russian Avant-garde in Spain

An important exhibition «Russian Avant-garde» was opened at the famous Madrid Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza on February 14. The exposition occupies four museum’s showrooms. It comprises paintings and sculptures dating 1907–1935 by renowned Russian Avant-garde artists. The featured masters include Vasiliy Kandinski, Kasimir Malevich, Niko Pirosmani, Natalia Goncharova, Mark Chagall and many others.

A news agency «Russian Antique» has already reported about some interesting details of the event. For instance, the exhibited collection of works includes a landmark painting «Mower» by Kasimir Malevich loaned by the State Nizhni Novgorod Museum of Arts.
