On November, 15-16 an autumn auction of Antiquorum Clock House will take place in two sessions in Geneva. The Auction will be held in Grand Hotel Kempinski and will represent more than 650 unique clocks of all leading firms in the world.

Among different lots 9 unique richly decorated pocket chronographs made especially for Chinese market will be put up on sales by Antiquorum,. Two very valuable golden mechanisms that were made circa 1810 and presented Chinese emperor Jiaqing by English king Georg will be shown here as well. A golden pocket watch decorated with enamel is the third object from the same collection. It was executed by masters of London firm — Ilbery. A well-crafted clock mechanism is set into the golden case painted with enamel and made by Jean François Victor Dupont. The lot was estimated at CHF 45 000 – 55 000.

The main top-lot is a real masterpiece of Swiss clock-production. Patek Philippe’s Grande Complication is a unique watch. The luxurious golden chronograph dated 1953 will be put up for the auctions with the estimate of CHF 400 000–600 000. As contrasted with the previous lot being of historic value this watch is noted for nothing besides the highest quality, astronomic exactness and curious workmanship that have determined such a high estimate.

Another model of Patec — a rare watch in the case made out of pink gold was estimated at CHF 180 000–280 000. The model created in 1949 became the first chronometer of the firm. There is no one usual option in this watch and it is fitted with a 30-minutes register and also with two extra stop-watches.

The next interesting lot is a golden watch Rolex having belonged to the Commander in Chief of Swiss Army — General Anry Gizan. The fine-saved model is automatic and has a refined waterproof case. A compliment inscription is engraved on the back cover of the watch.

The other model of Rolex — a massive steel chronometer Daytone dated 1970 was highly estimated by experts. It is a rare type of one of the most famous model of the British firm; it has an interesting design with a turning facet and three extra dials of stop-watches. The bidding for this lot will start at the estimate of CHF 150 000–200 000.

The steel watch Rolex Oyster Perpetual that was made in 1970-s on the order of the French Company Comex specializing in deep-sea diving was estimated much lower (CHF 55 000–75 000). This watch is not only water-proof but it is also able to endure incredibly high pressure thanks to using the technology of helium capsule. It is a small valve that compensates the pressure of water changing density of atmosphere inside the case.
