John Lennon memorabilia for auction

John Lennon

Several pieces of John Lennon memorabilia, including the military band tunic that inspired the «Sgt Pepper’s» album will be auctioned in London on July 28. The tunic, worn by Lennon in a photo shoot for Life magazine in 1966, is expected to fetch about £30,000.

Other items put up for the sale include hand-written lyrics to «All You Need is Love», which could fetch £500,000, an electric piano presented to Lennon by Elton John and an oil painting done by Lennon as a student.
