Salvador Dali Etchings Forgotten in a Taxi

Sebastia Verdaguer forgot this past Wednesday a book with 13 etchings made by Salvador Dali in a taxi he was taking in Barcelona. The young person had picked up the book from a downtown gallery to take it to his uncle who has an art gallery in Cadaques (Girona).

Verdaguer explained to the press that while picking up the book titled “Alice in Wonderland,” he took a taxi so that he will get to his destiny safely. Because he was in a hurry, he forgot the book in the taxi and is now offering a 1,000 euro reward for the book.

The package had the book that was a luxury edition published in 1969 in Paris by Rigault and also a series of 13 etchings signed by Dali. He said: “My uncle wanted to loan it for the Year of Dali exhibition and it had to be valued and then insure it.”

The young person is confident he will recover the package. He said, “The taxi driver was a young man of around 35 or 40 years.”
