Cow Sculpture Stolen in Brussels

One of the 187 cow sculptures on exhibition at the “Art on Cows” show in the streets and parks of Brussels was stolen and others were damaged. This week six works were stolen but only one is still missing. The posters of other cows that display the name of the cow and the sponsor were also stolen. Some cows were damaged with graffiti and knives. Five of the six stolen cows reappeared near the place they were stolen, but one of them was taken last Monday and has still not been found. This cow was named “Deci-bella” by its artist, Yves De Langhe.

According to the organizers, they do not plan to stop the exhibition because of this , but will increase the security. They have also asked the public to inform them of anything they know about this missing cow or who did this.

The “Art on Cows” show will be on view through September 21 and will end with the auction of the works.
