n May 20th-June 1st Moscow will see the days of the Slavic writing and culture.

According to the organisation committee, the Divine Liturgy scheduled to take place on May 24th in the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin will be a central event of the celebration.

After the divine service a religious procession will start from the Cathedral to the monument to holy Cyril and Methodius in the Slavic Square. At the monument a public prayer will be read to commemorate the brothers-enlighteners.

The programme of the Days of the Slavic writing and culture also includes scientific and practical conferences, “round tables”, concerts of folklore and children’s choruses, theatrical performances and art exhibitions.

On May 22nd the All-Russian exhibition centre will host the opening of the interconfessional exhibition “With Faith, Hope and Love to the third millenium”.

In compliance with the tradition, a children’s pilgrimage to monasteries of Moscow and the Moscow region will be organised during the celebration.
